The Great Land Trust recently announced that 36,000 acres will now be preserved on Afognak Island, in the Kodiak Archipelago in Alaska. The project connects a wildlife refuge and a state park on either side of the island and conserves important forest, coastal, wetland and riparian habitats.
Many wildlife species will benefit from this project and it offers numerous recreational opportunities. Congratulations to Great Land Trust, and its partners and supporters, for this conservation success!
