Audubon Alaska just released the Ecological Atlas of the Bering, Chukchi, and Beaufort Seas, which updates and adds to the first edition published in 2010. The combination of good science and compelling maps makes this atlas a great geospatial resource for everyone working in arctic Alaska.
“The Ecological Atlas is a synthesis of Arctic marine knowledge from ocean currents to seabird colonies to vessel traffic. Layer by layer, the maps combine to illustrate the connections within the ecosystem, to better understand how this place works. We hope that the atlas will be used by many to inform important decisions about managing the Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea.”
