What is Human Dimensions and Why Does it Matter?
As explained in the All-Bird Bulletin, a publication of the North American Bird Conservation Initiative (NABCI), human dimensions is a field of study that applies the social sciences to examine research questions that have implications for wildlife conservation efforts. In a world where people and nature are more and more separated, it is becoming increasingly important to understand what drives human behaviors, what people value and how those values relate to conservation.
