We would like to welcome Andrew Huang to Pacific Birds! Andrew is the new Joint Venture Coordinator with the Canadian Wildlife Service’s Pacific Region and serves as the Canada Coordinator for Pacific Birds. Western British Columbia, part of Bird Conservation Region 5, is within the Pacific Birds geography.
Andrew is a passionate biologist and has been involved in a myriad of research projects in ecotoxicology, population ecology, and conservation genetics. In his previous role, he reviewed impact assessment projects and provided technical advice related to Environment and Climate Change Canada’s regulations and policies on wetlands, species at risk, and migratory birds.
In his own words, “I look forward to collaborating with partners across multiple borders to achieve our collective goal of conserving bird habitat. Whether it be the government, NGOs, landowners, indigenous peoples, researchers, or just a regular consumer browsing the produce section in search of sustainable options - I believe ultimately we all have the shared value in mind to protect biological diversity."
