Do you have the travel bug and want to learn along the way? Join Pacific Birds and partners on a virtual trip to the Hawaiian Islands and Florida on May 15th. “Soarin’ with Bird Conservation” is one of a series of workshops developed by Sustainachella and hosted by the City of Miami Beach. The virtual tour and online community workshop will zoom you over to a wetland and fly you through the Alaka‘i swamp in Kaua‘i, before crossing to a rainforest in Maui and finishing up out to sea with some of Hawai‘i’s most famous seabirds.
On the way, we’ll find out about the unique native birds of the Hawaiian Islands. Then we’ll take a trip to the Atlantic coast to meet the residents of a Florida Pelican sanctuary. While traveling, you can comment, ask questions, and take a quiz to test your knowledge.
Join us on Zoom, May 15th, 10 am Hawaiʻi Standard time (4 pm Eastern Standard time). The tour/workshop is open to all.
