In light of the recent wildfires and subsequent tragedies on Maui island, the Hawaiʻi Predator Control and Wetland Workshop Hui has made the difficult decision to postpone the workshop. This decision was not made lightly, but the Hui wanted to show respect for and sensitivity to the needs of the community at this time. The Hui is working with the venue, the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, to find a new date to host the workshop in Spring 2024.
Information about the new event dates will be shared on the Hawaiʻi Predator Control and Wetland Workshop webpage as soon as it is available. Please look at the website or follow the Facebook page for updates. You may also reach out to WetlandsWorkshop@wildhawaii.org with any further questions or concerns regarding the event.
The wildfires have taken an incredible toll on the island and the community, with many losing their lives, homes and loved ones. If you would like to contribute to recovery efforts, we recommend supporting the Maui Strong Fund or the Hawaiian Way Fund, both of which contribute 100% of the proceeds directly to Maui relief efforts and community needs.
