Learn why the health of Kauiʻi's forests matter to both people and wildlife, including waterbirds. The Kauaʻi Invasive Species Committee and Kauaʻi Forest Bird Recovery Project are hosting their fifth virtual “Forest Friday" conversation on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
Join in for a conversation with scientists, conservationists and cultural practitioners with the topic: Aia i hea ka Wai a Kāne? How water, watersheds, and waterbirds connect to the forest. Confirmed panelists are Helen Raine, Hawai'i Conservation Coordinator for Pacific Birds Habitat Joint Venture, Yuki Reiss, Watershed Planner at the Kauai Branch of the Division of Forestry & Wildlife and Makana Reilly, Director of ʻĀina Connection at Hawaiʻi Land Trust.
