National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) – National Coastal Resilience Fund (NCRF) 2022 RFP
This program will provide grant support for "planning, design, and restoration of natural and nature-based solutions to help protect coastal communities from the impacts of storms, floods, and other natural hazards and enable them to recover more quickly and enhance habitats for fish and wildlife."
This year, NCRF is a partnership between NFWF, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Occidental, Shell USA, Inc, the U.S. Department of Defense, TransRe, and the Bezos Earth Fund.
NFWF expects to have approximately $140 million to invest in projects, thanks in part to a funding boost from the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. There is no maximum limit on the requested award amount, and non-federal match is encouraged but not required.
Pre-proposal deadline is April 21, 2022. There is an informational webinar for potential applicants March 30th.
Restore America's Estuaries – National Estuary Program 2022 Coastal Watersheds Grant Program
Restore America’s Estuaries (RAE) coordinates with and receives financial support from the Environmental Protection Agency on this grant program. In 2022, funding priorities include the proliferation or invasion of species, flooding and coastal erosion, loss of key habitats, and unusual or unexplained marine mammal mortalities.
Projects must be within one of 28 designated watershed priority areas, including two areas in Washington and Oregon. In 2022, organizations may request a full or partial waiver from the non-federal match requirement.
Approximately $1 million will be awarded, with each subaward ranging between $75,000 and $250,000.
There will be an informational webinar on March 30th for potential applicants. Letters of intent are due May 27, 2022.
