Each year, Partners in Flight recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to landbird conservation in the Americas. We congratulate all seven of this year's awardees, including Pacific Birds own U.S. Assistant Coordinator Sara Evans-Peters!
As both Pacific Birds Conservation Priority Lead and Assistant Coordinator, Sara was recognized for her leadership in oak and prairie conservation in the Pacific Northwest, helping to catalyze and coordinate the conservation of essential habitats for oak-associated landbirds.
Six other individuals were also awarded, from the U.S., Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela, in several categories. They were honored at the North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference in March.
