Want to learn more about the waterbirds of the Hawaiian Islands? Have an interest in wetland conservation?Â
Learning Endeavors (LE), a Hawai’i-based non-profit is organizing a free, two-session ‘Wetland Warriors’ online course on January 23rd and 30th that will explore these topics and more.Â
The virtual course will cover wetland ecology, conservation of priority waterbird species, citizen science opportunities, and the cultural significance of birds. It will also feature local partners and ongoing conservation efforts. The free course is open to all adults 16 or older. After completing both sessions, participants will receive wetland resources and bird guides to help them continue their education and share what they have learned.Â
