
This shared role between the Pacific Birds Habitat Joint Venture and the Sea Duck Joint Venture will lead the development and delivery of a communications strategy and content based on Joint Venture priorities and needs in the focal areas of Hawaiʻi Wetlands, Coastal Wetlands, Oak and Prairie, and Western Forests, aiming to increase the visibility and effectiveness of this collaborative work.

80% of the role will be as Pacific Birds Communications and Marketing Coordinator
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will focus on the following areas:
- Strategic Communications and Planning
- Maintain and Design Communications Products and Tools
- Analysis and Evaluation
- Content Creation and Distribution
- Support staff in budgeting, travel logistics, meeting preparation, and developing print materials.
20% of the role will be as Sea Duck Joint Venture Communications Coordinator
The Communications Coordinator will work closely with the SDJV US and Canada Coordinators and the SDJV Continental Technical Team to:
- Maintain and update the SDJV communications implementation plan
- Identify and develop relevant stories and content focused on sea ducks, and distribute them through multiple mediums.
- Develop the monthly SDJV newsletter
- Maintain and improve the SDJV website
- Assist with SDJV Management Board and Continental Technical Team meetings
- Track the effectiveness of outreach and communications tools
