Communications & Marketing Coordinator
Kelly Missett is the Communications and Marketing Coordinator for Pacific Birds, as well as the Sea Duck Joint Venture. She develops and implements strategic communications to engage partners, inform policy, and inspire on-the-ground actions that protect wildlife habitat.
Before joining Pacific Birds, Kelly was the Communications Manager at the Oregon Hazards Lab. Through media relations, government affairs, and community outreach, she connected lifelines with natural disaster detection and alerting technologies. Kelly has also worked for the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service, where she had a variety of communications and partnership responsibilities.
Kelly grew up in the New York City suburbs and in Charlottesville, Virginia. She received her B.A. in Environmental Studies and French Literature from Amherst College. Kelly now lives in Eugene, Oregon, with her husband and their poodle. She enjoys snowboarding, backpacking, reading, listening to Taylor Swift, and attending Oregon Ducks football games.
