Pacific Birds is thrilled to announce that Kelly Missett is joining our team as our new Communications and Marketing Coordinator! Kelly will help engage partners, inform policy, and inspire on-the-ground actions that protect bird habitat.
Before joining Pacific Birds, Kelly worked as the Communications Manager at the Oregon Hazards Lab, which connects community lifelines with natural disaster detection and alerting technologies. She has also held communication and partnership roles with the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service. Kelly brings experience in science and crisis communications as well as digital media.
Kelly grew up in the New York suburbs and in Charlottesville, Virginia. She received her B.A. in Environmental Studies and French Literature from Amherst College. Kelly now lives in Eugene, Oregon, with her husband and their poodle. She enjoys snowboarding, backpacking, reading, listening to Taylor Swift, and attending Oregon Ducks football games.
