Science Coordinator for Waterbirds

Mark serves as the Pacific Birds Science Coordinator for Waterbirds, and is also employed by Ducks Unlimited as the Director of Conservation Planning in DU’s Western Region. Mark graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1998 with a Ph.D. in Fisheries and Wildlife Management. Much of his research and planning efforts has focused on establishing habitat objectives for waterfowl throughout the Pacific Flyway, and more recently the effects of sea level rise on important estuaries along the Washington and Oregon coasts.
